Although more girls and women have eating disorders than people in any other group, eating disorders can strike anyone regardless of their age, their gender, or any other classification. The common factor present in the majority of cases of eating disorders is that the person, usually without thought to the matter, substitutes the subject of food for everything else in his or her life over which he has or feels no control. In this aspect, what could be termed underlying causes usually fits into either of two categories. You will find many people who suffer from eating disorders attempting to use food and their intake thereof to compensate for the circumstances of their current lives. This includes such situations as a youngster who either is or feels extremely neglected, a woman who is being abused by her spouse or partner, individuals who feel that their lives are in the hands of other people rather than themselves, and any number of variations which lead the person to feel that the only thing within her range of control is when, what, and how much she eats. |

Mortgage service charges are a pain, but when dealing with loans – especially home equity loans – they’re just another part of life. Send a payment a couple days late, get a charge. It’s life. But is it? With some home equity loans, it’s not as much a matter of if you deserve the charges, but if they’re charging you anyway. Its part of a scam that’s most common with home equity loans, and it’s a way to get you to pay more than you actually owe. These sorts of scams are targeted towards low income families, minorities, and the elderly. |

Looking for a fun and creative way to raise money for a church or community service group? Try a blind auction. It works best as an annual seasonal event or by combining it with another fundraising event. The idea is simple instead of admission every person attending the event beings a wrapped present. Some gifts should be prohibited, like adult novelties, alcohol, and prepared food. Organizers may want to encourage a gift minimum but be wary of adding a gift maximum. Generous donors will donate large ticket items and increase the excitement and bidding for late gifts. |

A few factors can determine a 401k’s maximum contribution level. The amount an individual earns, any plan restrictions and of course government limits all determine the maximum contribution. A 401k’s maximum contribution is mainly determined by the lesser of the plan maximum or government limits. Government changes raise the amount of contributions allowed each year to keep pace with the cost-of-living. Currently, the 401k maximum contribution level is $15,500. If the amount that is contributed is less than the government set limit, it still must be lower than an individual plans set limit. The lower limit of the two is what will be followed. |

Credit was introduced to the world in the 50s and ever since we have seen people use and abuse this luxury. Most of the credit problems that plague thousands of Americans is due to a lack of knowledge behind credit and the effect of credit on our lives. In fact, many of the people with the worst credit and credit card problems are students. This is due to the fact that credit is not something that is really impressed on our youth. A good example of this is a couple of students that have been recently married and are just out of college. They have credit card debt, student loan debt and are trying to begin new lives. They may even have overdrafts on their checking accounts. This is a situation that only has trouble written all over it. One of the first things that a young couple like this should do is evaluate their debt and look into consolidating it. |
